Hi, all

Another chromosome-level genome assembly has been published for Rhododendron. This one is for R. simsii, an azalea, where authors also identified genes involved in flowering time and flower color: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-020-18771-4.

This is a great genomic resource as we now have genomes that represent two subgenera in the genus, Hymenanthes (R. delavayi and R. williamsianum) and Tsutsusi (R. simsii), and are expanding our tools to represent more breadth of the group.
